Overview:

The successful candidate will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. The position will be responsible for local bulk fluid transfers of Type 1 non-hazardous waste locally at the Pittsburgh International Airport Facility.  When not engaged in transporting fluid, there may be a requirement to operate our fluid collection and/or processing equipment. Travel is not required. The position is on-call seasonal therefore, hours of work will fluctuate and a flexible schedule is required.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Operate and navigate company-owned or leased vehicles in excess of four tons including tractor/trailer/tanker, forklift and mechanized equipment;
  • Document, record, and track all required log sheets IAW, FMCSA, DOT and Inland Technologies requirements;
  • Knowledge of local, major and airport roadway driving requirements;
  • Identify, troubleshoot and service devices, parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical principles;
  • Perform administrative tasks including maintaining information files and processing paperwork and travel logs;
  • Inspection of truck(s) before and after trips and submit reports indicating truck condition;
  • Service truck with fuel, oil and other fluids and perform preventative maintenance to tractor‑trailer;
  • Inventory and inspect fluid quality prior to transport;
  • Apply knowledge of commercial driving regulations IAW FMSCA regulations when transporting and delivering goods;
  • Adhere to Inland Technologies policies including commitment to the delivery of superior customer service;
  • Practice safe operation of all equipment.

As the ideal candidate, you possess the following qualifications:

  • Commercial Class A driver’s license with Tanker Endorsement;
  • Clean driver’s abstract and driving record that meets company insurance standards;
  • Minimum two (2) years’ commercial driving experience;
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Must be able to pass drug screening and 10-year background check;
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform vehicle maintenance;
  • Ability to communicate effectively;
  • Flexible schedule;
  • Other duties as required by management.
